All of my digital art is created using Procreate software, which enables me to emulate the physical art mediums. This is beneficial because it allows me to constantly broaden my range and improve my skills, through constant experimentation.
My work largely involves exploring a wide variety of subjects, for instance, character designs, abstract art, portraits, and fantasy environments etc. Through working digitally I can tailor the tools and settings to suit my preferences for when creating a piece.

To facilitate this experimentation and enhance my understanding of producing multifarious art, I create artist studies, as demonstrated below. This approach has helped me develop a mental library of techniques and processes that I can combine and expand upon, to apply to my artworks.

Creation Process Artist Study Examples

Sergey Kolesov Artist Study:

This study of Kolesov taught me how to create a sense of motion and fluidity through layering flat brushstrokes, resulting in a more dynamic and visually engaging piece of art.

Ismail Inceoglu Artist Study:

Although not fully rendered, I studied how the simple colour blocking of light and shadows can be used to distinguish foreground and background, and how it impacts the atmosphere when creating a fantasy environment.

Tomio Ogata Artist Study:

The objective of this study was to explore how the design of stylized characters using shape, silhouette, and colour can create distinctiveness; whether it's the curve of a smile or the angle of an eyebrow, each subtle nuance can add depth and personality to one's overall appearance.
